FULLY AUTOMATED
Comp-Tech manufactures molded-foam (seats and backs) on fully automated 24-station carousels. Six axis robots, paired with dual shot high pressure machines controlling shot size and ratio (density), ensure that our molded-foam products offer better repeatability and consistency than do cut and glued products. (Seats and backs) can be molded around inserts (which can be produced on site) eliminating the need for time-consuming shipping, cutting and gluing, meaning the parts leave the line ready to be upholstered.

HIGH RESILIENCY OR VISCO-ELASTIC
Our products can be made using either high resiliency (HR) or Visco-elastic (“memory”) foam. HR foam withstands hours of continuous use without losing load-bearing capabilities, shape or dimensions. Memory foam, by contrast, responds to pressure, shaping itself to fit the contours of the body and reduce pressure points. Originally used for medical seating, memory foam is increasingly being used in office furniture.
